Dr Natalie Ling completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2011 and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Having been awarded the UQ School of Medicine Ochsner Scholarship, Natalie experienced Dermatology clinics in New Orleans, USA. During this time, she developed an early passion for skin cancer management and inflammatory skin conditions. Natalie assesses and manages all dermatological dilemmas, of the hair, skin and nails. In addition to skin checks, Natalie is interested in acne, hair loss, paediatric dermatology, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation problems and vulval dermatology. She finds the complex problem-solving aspect of this specialty particularly enriching. Natalie undertook her specialist dermatologist training in Queensland, with experience at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Mater Adult Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital. She has also obtained a Master of Philosophy, with her thesis exploring specific genes correlating with dermoscopic naevus patterns in a case-control study of melanoma. Natalie has numerous publications in Australian and international medical journals. She has presented her research globally, at conferences held by the American Academy of Dermatology in the USA and the World Congress of Melanoma in Europe. Natalie completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Queensland, and she is a keen advocate for preventative health care. She enjoys treating patients from all walks of life and delights in providing individualised, multimodal care in the dermatological setting.
