GPs report significant deterioration in mental wellbeing over the last six months

The pandemic is no longer deemed a global public health emergency according to the WHO, thanks to a dramatic drop in death rates—but despite life returning to normal for many, mental wellbeing appears to be getting worse.

In the most recent Healthed survey of more than 1300 doctors, GPs reported that their patients seemed to be faring worst, followed by their colleagues. Many also said their own mental wellbeing had deteriorated over the last six months.

The majority of surveyed GPs also noted that demand for mental health related care has increased compared to six months ago.
